New AVC/H264/MPEG video format. H.264 is the next-generation video compression technology in the MPEG-4 standard, also known as MPEG-4 Part 10. H.264 can match the best possible MPEG-2 quality at up to half the data rate. To cut the story short, H.264 provides DVD quality at about half the data rate of normal DVD. Flash 8 + Alpha with Chroma Keying Tools
It is now possible to add a transparency to your video using the new Flash 8 + Alpha video format. What does it mean for you? You can then overlay the published video on top of another video or another SWF animation and part of your video which are set to be transparent will reveal the content underneath it.
A chroma keying tools is also added to help you select areas within your video to be made transparent. Example
New Video Control support multiple videos with Playlist
You can now publish a list of video (through batch publish) together with a playlist XML and new navigation controls which can play multiple videos through the playlist
Insert events/cue points and click action Set events/cue points within the video timeline to easily synchronize your video and flash animation using Flash authoring tools. You can also add a click action to open a website address.
This example shows the use of events / cue points to trigger text animation in specific times.
Thumbnail JPEG Snapshot
You can now make a snapshot from any frame within your video as a JPEG file. You can also choose to automatically generate this JPEG snapshot whenever you publish your video.
Add Chapter List To Your Videos
You can now add a list of chapter to your video which serves as shortcut to particular time in your video. Viewer can click on any of the chapter within the chapter list to jump to the relevant video time.
Add
animated logos, images, and text watermark
You can decide when the watermark will appear, determine the position and apply a fade in/out effect.
It also supports transparent images such as PNG and
GIF. You can use a GIF animation to make an animated logo watermark.
Add
a customizable movie navigation control
Choose to publish a movie with or without a
navigation control. Flash Video Studio offers a list of cool controls for both SWF and FLV video.
You can customize the navigation control by turning on/off
specific buttons or changing its color settings to suit your style. Here are some examples :

It is now possible to automate the video export process via a command line interface. Flash Video Studio allows you to pass a script file containing instruction on what video to publish and what publish settings to use. Everything you can do within the Flash Video Studio 2.0 can also be done automatically via this script file. You can also save your project as a script file so that you can easily learn the script syntax.
Built-in
FTP upload tool
Flash Video Studio has a built-in FTP upload
tool to upload the published movie file. You can set it to always
upload the movie every time you publish your project.
Batch
publish and upload
Publish multiple video files at once. This may
include applying a watermark, compressing, video trimming, adjusting
the dimension and the frame rate, plus uploading the result to your
FTP site.
Subtitles/Close Captions
It is now possible to add subtitle into your video. Multi language channels are supported. Meaning you can add more than one language channel which can be selected by viewer at playback.
Fullscreen Video Playback
You can now add a fullscreen button to your navigation control which will play your video in a fullscreen mode. The fullscreen mode is using a new Flash Player direct screen rendering technology which makes it faster to render video on fullscreen size. This feature can be selected in Customize Navigation Control Window.
Rotate and Crop Your Videos
You can now define a cropping area within your video to be published. This is useful if you only want to publish an area within your videos without the need to crop and re-encode them using other software.
Rotating your video 90 degree left/right is also a useful features. Frequently you rotate your camera/handheld device to make a portrait/tall video. Now you do not need to rotate them using other software before importing them into Flash Video Studio.
